The Ombuds
Diane Levin, J.D., CO-OP, a dispute resolution professional with over 29 years of experience, has specialized in the mediation of employment and business issues, with a particular focus on fostering healthy workplaces. Diane is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP).
She has been appointed to numerous public and private mediation panels, including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and has coached professionals and entrepreneurs in effective self-advocacy in negotiations and conflict resolution.
In addition, she has led trainings in negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills for judges, university administrators, human resources professionals, corporations, health care providers, and the United States Agency for International Development.
As a Lecturer she taught Negotiations, a popular course in the MBA program at Boston University Questrom School of Business (2011-2015), working with culturally diverse students from around the globe to achieve their career aspirations through negotiation.
In service to the dispute resolution field, Levin has been appointed to numerous boards, including the Massachusetts Trial Court Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution (2005-2007), and was co-chair of the American Bar Association Section on Dispute Resolution Mediator Quality Improvement Committee (2010).
She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a B.A. in Russian Language, and earned her J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
